Just A Touch

Black lace was a big hit on the fall runways but I definitely won't be wearing the look head to toe. I'm trying it out with something small and classic, like a clutch, that won't go out of style. I used a lace skirt that I found on clearance to recover a vintage clutch. I cut out the lining and used the scalloped hem for the inside edges of the clutch. I tacked it down but you could also use fabric glue if you aren't handy with a needle and thread. Since lace is forgiving (especially the cheap stuff!) you can stretch it right over gathers or pleats in your clutch. Share a yard of lace with a few girlfriends because you won't need much!
