The long-awaited wedding dress is absolutely stunning!! And a fabulous decision on Kate's part to choose Sarah Burton, the woman who took over as creative director at Alexander McQueen, to design the dress. The British fashion house is known for it's elaborate, over-the-top designs and incredible craftsmanship. I love that she transformed traditional fabrics like lace and satin and made them modern with a beautiful silhouette. As for the bling, The Queen lent her the Cartier-designed tiara and her diamond teardrop earrings (swooon!) were a gift from her parents.
Sarah Burton also designed the bridesmaids' dresses for Kate's sister and the little girls. I love this back view of Pippa's dress and the lace detail that matches Kate's.
The pageboys and bridesmaids were precious!
I can't wait to see more of Kate. Or I guess it's Princess Catherine now. Here she is in a black Issa wrap dress earlier this week, shopping at Whistles and BANANA REPUBLIC. Love this girl already!!
