Quick Fix

I really like the look of bold colored mattes (especially these in Bea's room) so I finally did one on our collage wall. Instead of buying a new matte, I just painted a red border around this old black and white photograph.
All you need is painter's tape, acrylic paint, and a paintbrush to get the look. A foam brush would have been ideal but all I could find was Pearl's Crayola paintbrush. It took 3 coats to get the color even and then I waited until it was completely dry to pull the painter's tape off.
I can't wait to try more! Such an easy way to add a pop of color into a room! The print above the black and white photograph is from one of my favorite books, Mrs. Kennedy Goes Abroad.
