Recycled Glass

While I was sorting our recycling last night, I set aside a few club soda bottles. The 10 oz. size that comes in a 6-pack is ideal for a small bud vase.
Soak them in hot soapy water until the labels easily peel off and then scrape the expiration date off (I used a butter knife). Perfect timing, as my Matsumoto blooms were starting to droop...
Now they can last a few more days all around the house!
I also like to save clear white wine bottles to use as pitchers. I keep them filled with tap water in the fridge (to motivate me to drink more water!) and store extras in the freezer. They're great to set out on the dinner table or to use for parties and showers. Easy peasy.
