I'm a big fan of bold, abstract art mixed with traditional interiors. It adds color and whimsy, which I think every room needs! We were at the Picasso Black & White exhibit last week and took a quick detour when I spotted these two pieces by Franz Kline...

Kids love abstract art too, so we snuck some pictures and P came home to draw them herself...

I also let her pick out a postcard from the gift shop and we had a Picasso scavenger hunt. It made things a little more interesting for her, and I could spend more time strolling through the exhibit. Win/win!
