Be Our Guest!

Lela's room is also the guest room and fortunately, we've had lots of overnight guests since we moved in! My mom is coming today and we can't wait!! The room is 10'x11' so we had to get a little creative with the layout. We hung the big caterpillar above the crib, and the canvas bins underneath store diapers and toys.
We've used the same crib bedding my Mom made for all three kids, made out of orange velvet and Ikea curtains for the cording and ties. I've gotten a new fitted crib sheet depending on if its a boy or girl. This one is from Serena & Lily, and I also like Rikshaw and Biscuit for fun prints.
The previous owners were SO kind and left this Ikea Daybed for us! I keep all of Lela's folded clothes in the drawers, which eliminates the need for a dresser. I reused the purple quilted pillows, which I dyed for Pearl's first bed, and some other throw pillows I made paired with a white quilt.
Last week we had girls from the African Children's Choir stay with us, so I rearranged and pulled it out into a king size bed. We had so much fun!! I made the bed with white sheets, a pair of vintage embroidered pillowcases, and Anthropologie throw pillows.
(Vintage chairs we found for the girls this summer}
Since the mismatched bedside tables are different heights, I added books to make the lamps the same height. Easy fix!
